We had beef short ribs the other night, and the beef literally fell off the bone. Have you ever had beef short ribs before? If not, you need to try them!
To Begin –
First, you’ll need to start with some beef short ribs. Here’s what ours look like (frozen) and in the package. Each package weighs approximately 1 lb.
Each package is vacuumed sealed and processed by a certified abattoir.
A small addition we make –
We enjoy the seasonings used in this easy short ribs recipe and at times, we add Sriracha chili sauce to balance the sweetness when cooking with maple syrup. This results in a sweet and spicy dish. Bonus is that we seem to always have these spices on hand in our pantry!

Mouthwatering!! Seriously can not wait to make these. And as a busy mom, anything that I can throw in a slow cooker is such a bonus!!! Question- any specific brand of maple syrup? I’m guessing it should be the real stuff vs Log Cabin. Thanks for sharing!!!
Oh gosh Michele, Yes absolutely must use 100% Pure Maple Syrup for this recipe. When drizzling pure maple syrup, and then broiling the short ribs in the oven for just a few minutes this will allow the syrup to become sticky as a result of the all-natural sugar changing under high heat. We produce maple syrup here on our family farm, so, we only use pure maple syrup in all our recipes.
Thanks so much for asking Michele and hope you enjoy this easy recipe!
