Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon

Easy to make filet mignon wrapped in bacon recipe. Sear Beef. Next, cook in the oven!  Delicately flavoured beef filet with a slice of bacon wrapped around each one then a dash of your favourite steak spice sprinkled over top.  These tender, delicious tasting steaks have such a wonderful flavour! Additionally, it only takes a few minutes to make. 

Flavours are complemented when served with steamed vegetables, potatoes along side marinated scallops wrapped in bacon

Why do we love this recipe?

We love this recipe because it makes use of beef. Beef that we produce right here on our farm allowing us to eat farm fresh food on a daily basis.

Once filet mignon wrapped in bacon have been seared in hot skillet, place them onto a cooking sheet. Place into the pre-heated oven 425 F and cook to 140 – 160 degrees.

We had beef filet mignon the other night, and the steak was absolutely decilicious.  Have you ever had filet mignon before? If not, you need to try them!

To Begin –

First, you’ll need to start with some beef filets. Here’s what ours look like (frozen) and in the package. Each package has 4 filets included.

Each package is vacuumed sealed and processed by a certified abattoir.

Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon

This is an easy recipe to make. Requires minimal ingredients and time.

Ingredients

  • 4 Filet Mignon
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 1 tsp Steak Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Cut slices of bacon into halves
  • Wrap half slice of bacon around each filet mignon
  • Insert toothpick into the side of the filet, holding bacon in place
  • Pre-Heat Oven to 425 F
  • Add Butter and Olive Oil into a skillet and heat on medium heat
  • Sprinkle your favourite steak spice onto top of filets
  • Place the filets into the skillet and brown sides. Just searing not cooking beef
  • Place seared filets onto a cookie sheet, lined with parchment paper or tin foil.
  • Place filets into the oven. Cook for approx 20 minutes.
  • Use digital meat thermometer and cook to your liking.

Notes

Beef Temperatures –
Cook Filet Mignons to a temperature of
140 F for Rare Beef
160 F for Med Beef
170 F for Well Beef
